The dates for the 2020/21 William Hill World Darts Championship have been announced.

The event will remain at the iconic Alexandra Palace in London. It will start on Tuesday 15 December 2020, and end on Sunday 3 January 2021.

Peter Wright is expected to play on the first night of the tournament. He won his first world title last year against Michael van Gerwen, and as is tradition, the defending champion always starts their campaign on the opening night.

In addition, there is the possibility of having fans inside the venue, owing to the government’s announcement about crowds returning to live sport from 2 December 2020. The PDC have stated that they “will now be working with Alexandra Palace to explore the potential for fans to attend the event.”

The draw for the 2020/21 World Championship will take place on Thursday 3 December.
